Founded in 1990 Turnkey has experienced changes and significant growth over the years . Our committment to developing reliable and accurate testing equipment has never waivered and has been key to establishing our reputation in the field and securing a global client base.
The business has grown significantly since it started life back in 1990 with just one employee. Turnkey’s first product was the Simret 3000 heavy vehicle brake tester. Since its launch, we have steadily expanded our product range, developing new specialist testing instruments in response to market needs.

We first started out producing brake testing equipment for both on- and off-road vehicles, before expanding our range to include scientific testing equipment for air quality and environmental monitoring and supporting software.
In the mid nineties, Turnkey started exporting to Australia and South Africa, and since then our international market has grown steadily. We’ve supplied our brake testing equipment and environmental monitoring instruments to customers all over the world.
We now employ more than 30 staff at our base in the UK and have representatives all around the globe distributing our testing equipment. Although we’ve grown and have a global presence, our culture and ethos has remained the same.

We care about our employees and in turn they care about the business and our customers. As we’ve grown, we’ve retained the family-friendly culture that might be associated with a much smaller business and we carry this through everything we do.
Turnkey is a bit like one big family. A member of the team recently described it as “like going from one home to another”.
The environment is a productive one: clean, functional and well equipped. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and every member of the team really does count.
If you would you like to know more about any of our testing instruments or service and calibration, then please get in touch. One of our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have, however technical!
